The PCA Master’s Men’s Championships take place in Fort St John, Jan 30th to Feb 1st – two teams will qualify for the provincials @ the Calgary Winter Club Feb 18th-22nd.

PCA Senior Championships PDF Print

The PCA Senior Men’s and Ladies Districts were held January 16th to 18th in Peace River.

Men          A winner: Colin Griffith, Jeff Ginter, Todd Maxwell, Jim Stephenson   

                  B winner: Mark Johnson, Kurt Balderston, Rob Bucholz, Del Shaughnessy - current Alberta Champions

Women    A winner: Caryl Sallows, Brenda Gomes, Marg Redlick, Belle Thomas     

                 B winner: Elaine Laurin, Holly Vedress, Cheryl Montgomery, Sharon Darrah

These teams continue on @ the Provincial Championships in Medicine Hat, February 11th to 15th.

Alberta Junior Provincial Championships PDF Print

Karsten Sturmay (boys) of Edmonton and Kelsey Rocque (girls) of Edmonton were the champions @ the Alberta Junior Curling Provincials in Grande Prairie.  These teams will represent Alberta @ the Canadian championships – in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Jan 24th to Feb 1st.  The semi-finals and finals of the Canadians will be broadcasted live on TSN!

For all Level 2 Certified Coaches who were grandfathered into the new NCCP Coaching Stream – Certified Competition Coach, January 31, 2015 is the deadline to maintain your Certified Status!

To maintain your Certified Coach Status, you must complete the On-Line MED Evaluation (Make Ethical Decisions) within five years (effective January 2010), but strongly recommend you complete as soon as possible.Coaches who fail to meet this requirement will be reassigned “In Training” status with credit for all criteria except the On-line MED.Your “Certified” status will be restored when the required On-line MED evaluation is complete.
